The idea for the Grassroots Leadership College (GLC) germinated in 1995 under the Community Exchange program, but it wasn't until 2000 that it sprouted into an independent, staffed organization. Since then, we have worked on: connecting leaders in the Madison community with developing leaders through our semester programs; providing individual trainings, forums and workshops; and participating in connecting non-profits together on such issues  as funding and consulting services.
